ITM Academy program is designed for students who are seeking exposure in robotics, engineering, geometry and practical mathematics. Students in this program will learn about several different components of manufacturing and how to repair the industry’s leading equipment. ITM Academy is designed around curriculum provided by Ivy Tech Community College as well as the Federal Bureau of Apprenticeship Training. This program is a direct link to the Ivy Tech Community College post-secondary apprenticeship program in Machine Repair through Shelby County employers.
Students who are successful in this program have the opportunity to become an employee of one of the consortium partners as well as pursue a technical degree (employer paid tuition) as they work full time.
Students can receive up to six (6) high school credits per year and coursework counts as high school electives for the General, Core 40, Core 40 with Academic Honor and Core 40 with Technical Honor diplomas.
