Congratulations to our May alumni of the month:
-Mrs. Cassie Dunkleberger, Current Criminal Justice Instructor at BRCP, 2017 Graduate of Southwestern High School and BRCP Criminal Justice class of 2016-17
When asked in what ways did BRCP have an impact on you, Mrs. D responded, "BRCP allowed me to gain hands on experience before I committed to my college degree. The experiences between labs and content affirmed my love for the Public Safety Sector. Without BRCP, I may not have committed to policing as confidently as I had when I applied to college. I still think about my teacher and the impact he had on me. One saying he drilled into us was "keep your head on a swivel". This is a saying I used daily while working as a Patrol Officer."
When asked what advice you would give to our students today, Mrs. D responded, "Take every experience you're given and soak it up. You may not get the chance to meet the guest speakers, do the labs, or have an expert in front of you on a daily basis again. BRCP is all about preparing you for the working world. If you let it, your program will create a base line to begin your career."
Thank you, Mrs. Dunkleberger for your commitment to the students, staff, and community. We are grateful to have you on our staff!
